They have done everything right, from the tiniest detail to the biggest and boldest of design choices.   Even from the street this is obviously a special house with great attention paid to the design and material choices.  The design seamlessly melds common elements in  completely fresh and pleasing ways.  The house does not leap out as something odd or unusual but rather takes its place along side its neighbors, old and new, as something special but not flashy.

The style is a fusion of industrial with the best of modern design.  But mostly it is that indefinable combination of finishes and design features that is just simply put, warm and welcoming.  Obviously years of thought and effort went into the eclectic furnishings and decorations.  Everything has been collected, curated and placed with exquisite care and good taste.  Everything is included in the sales price.

Enter from a generous foyer which transitions into a large open living/kitchen/dining area with a two story high tin ceiling.  Off the foyer is a door to the garage, a laundry/equipment room, a full bathroom, and a wonderful plant-filled two story light well which brings daylight and airflow throughout the house.  The entire back of the house is constructed of huge glass doors and windows which let in more light and air and melds the patio with the indoor living spaces.  This is indoor/outdoor living at its best.  Indoor plants, outdoor plants, all are part of the overall design which takes advantage of every square meter of space.

The patio is as beautifully designed as the interior and compliments it perfectly.  It isn’t a huge space, but it is a “just right” space that will be used daily by the lucky buyer of this home.  The seller has literally thought of everything to combine the interior and exterior spaces to give a relatively small home and large, roomy and airy feel throughout.

Upstairs are two generous bedrooms and two large bathrooms.  Each is similar, yet unique, and both bedrooms could be considered primaries.  Good design choices are apparent from the first step where a one of a kind floor combining glass and wood with concrete for a spectacular, yet practical floor which is also the ceiling of the kitchen below.  The use of triple pane glass inserts in the floor brings light to the main floor which would otherwise could lack natural light in the kitchen.  Once again, the seller/builder’s experience in Merida shines though with this innovative solution to a common problem.
